Business Case Development for Water Main Renewal Program
Our team developed a business case to determine the optimal upgrade options for a water main replacement program. We drafted a comprehensive business case outlining options with a recommendation plan based on the scope, cost validation, and all other parameters assessed through the business case development process.
We started with a conceptual plan based on confirmed operational program needs and condition prioritization. We completed an infrastructure assessment to determine the condition of the structural and engineering aspects of the identified redevelopment area and evaluated its suitability to accommodate confirmed operational program needs.
Following, we developed a capital costing estimate for renewal/replacement options, facility upgrades, design, engineering, materials, construction, contingency, and escalation costs. Our business case included assessing and developing a project risk register, phasing and procurement strategy for design and construction, procurement delivery model analysis, a renovation timeline, and potential phasing required to maintain services as the identified renovation work proceeds.
