Infrastructure Planning

The Province is working on transforming its health system, and Asset Strategy has been examining the current health and social care infrastructure to ensure that the facilities are in good condition to provide high-quality patient and client-centred care.
Our team developed a Unified Health System Infrastructure Plan (HSIP) by identifying crucial upcoming needs and key considerations for future planning. The HSIP covered both health and social care infrastructure needs, including a 5-year capital plan and a 30-year strategic capital schedule. The plan was designed to be compatible with updates provided by facility condition assessments conducted alongside the HSIP. It was developed through engagement with key system partners such as the Medical Association, health care provider associations, First Nations, and others.
