FAQ’s

Your Go-To Resource for Answers

Q1) What is Asset Strategy Inc.?
A1) Asset Strategy Inc. (ASI) is an engineering firm specialized in developing and implementing solutions that benefit organizations with physical assets. Our mission is to provide solutions that optimize the value of infrastructure in order to improve financial outcomes for asset owners.
Q2) Why do organizations benefit from asset strategy planning?
A2) Whether your infrastructure is aging or you are considering a greenfield project, a strategy and asset management plan are necessary to optimize financial returns, efficiently monitor performance, control risks, and limit life cycle costs.
Q3) What services does ASI provide?
A3) We develop asset management plans, conduct condition assets, perform strategy advisory, infrastructure advisory, and digital services for our clients.
Q4) Who does ASI work with?
A4) We work with all organizations in need of asset management services. We collaborate directly with federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal governments, Indigenous partners, the private sector, and educational institutions. We also work with communities, infrastructure developers, and financial partners / investors to improve the condition of the public’s infrastructure.
Q5) How do we contact ASI?
A5) Call +1 (306) 550-9511, email info@AssetStrategyInc.com, or send a message through the website to request a quote or book a free consultation with our team.
Q6) How long does it take to create and implement an asset management plan, and to train our staff?
A6) It depends on the value and quantity of assets involved. Generally speaking, anywhere between 3 months and 4 years are needed to go from creation to implementation.
Q7) How often do asset management plans need renewal and updating?
A7) This also depends on the asset type. Mobile asset plans should typically be renewed every 6 months to 2 years. Plans for linear and vertical infrastructure should be updated approximately every 2 to 5 years.
Q8) Does our organization need an asset strategy?
A8) Yes. During the 1950s to 1970s, Canada experienced significant growth and modernization, leading to an increase in infrastructure construction: new roads, bridges, buildings, schools, and hospitals, as well as water distribution and wastewater treatment facilities. However, there has been little investment in proactive and preventative maintenance of this infrastructure since, resulting in deterioration. At this point, management and maintenance plans are needed to avoid costly, and often unnecessary, replacements.
